How Does It Work ?

Choose Your Products Logon to our website and pick what you want to receive each week. You will receive an email reminder on Wednesday evening to place your order for delivery the following week. All orders must be received by Friday noon.

Choose Pick-up or Delivery Pick-up is free, delivery is a $5/wk. fee. Delivery is available within the city limits of Durango and Telluride to homes and businesses.

Is there a deadline for signing up? You can sign up now or at any time during the season. The CSA begins June 1, 2008.

What Does It Cost?

Membership is $300 for a 6 week share.

  • Select $45 or more each week from any of our product categories. Your weekly order total will be subtracted from your $300 deposit each time you order.
    • Member Choice Box – Members choose whatever seasonal products they want to appear in their box from week to week. Members submit their orders each week from a list of available products.
    • Farmer's Choice Box – If you choose this option ($25 value/week) we will pick a selection of vegetables and fruit each week for you, depending on seasonal availability. You will also make your own choices of an additional $20 or more of other items available that week from any product category to meet your $45 weekly order minimum.   • Delivery or Pickup $5 is charged for delivery each week to a home or business/office within the City limits of Durango or Telluride/Mtn. Village. Pick-up at any of our drop-off locations is free.
  • One time Set-up fee $20 covers cost of distribution box, ice packs, etc. This fee is added to your initial $300 membership fee for a total of $320. The set up fee is not repeated during subsequent renewals.
  • Skip a Delivery Within any 6 week period you can suspend receiving your weekly order once for free.  Each additional week that is rescheduled will cost $10.
  • Termination Termination of a membership before the six week membership period is over will incur a $50 service charge.

What Can I Order?

A wide array of fresh vegetables and fruit, meat, cheese, bakery goods, prepared meals, and much more are available each week from a wide array of small scale, local producers. Much of what will be offered will change with the seasons. See what's available this week.

Delivery and Pick-up Locations

Delivery

  • Durango Home/Office Delivery: Thursday  2-4pm
  • Telluride Home/Office Delivery: Friday 11am-1pm

Your order arrives in boxes made of sturdy plastic that are meant to be returned to us each week for reuse, along with the ice packs, and any mason quart jars. If you are not home your box will be left on your porch or in a location you designate. If you would prefer to leave an ice chest out for us, we can transfer your order to your container.

  • LaPlata county residents  First National Bank parking lot, Thursdays 4-6 pm
  • Montezuma county residents High Desert Foods, 18390 Hwy 145, Dolores, Thursdays 3-6 pm

Payment

Use your credit card to pay online or send us a check along with your sign up form. All online payments are through our secure, online processing system. Signup now.

How do I Renew My Account? If you use up your $300 deposit before the 6 week period expires, you can replenish your account with another $300. If you choose to do so, another 6 week period will begin at that time. The renewal can be done automatically by High Desert Foods or you can do it manually yourself, just indicate your preference at the time you initially sign up. Or you can simply opt out by not renewing your membership.

Termination Termination of a membership before the six week membership period is over will incur a $50 service charge.

What Does a Typical Farmer's Choice Box Look Like?


Our network of growers will produce many varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruit. Each week you'll receive a mix of crops that are in season. Here is an example of a typical share in August:
